Write an essay exploring the idea/concept of ‘God/a higher being’ from the various pieces we have looked at this semester. What role does God/the higher being play in these pieces? What are the various attitudes people in the pieces have towards God/the higher being? How do the pieces compare and/or contrast to your own perception/belief about God/a higher being? Do you think belief in a God/higher being is good/necessary for society? Why or why not? You must use/analyze at least ONE piece from EACH unit.

Must submit photocopy of each print source used (other than text)

Outline:

Intro (1 para, 10-12 lines): Introduction of topic and thesis statement.
Body (multiple paras between 5 and 18 lines): Elaborate on thesis
Conclusion (1 para, 10-12 lines): Summary
Total length of essay: 6-8 pages (double spaced, not counting Works Cited; length starts with first word of introduction, not top of 1st page)
