Part A
What historical and contemporary research has been done that violates the rights of human research participants. If you were actually doing your study, how would you protect your own research participants? What topics warrant extra care in protecting human subjects?
Part B
Write a research proposal to an IRB (institutional review board)for approval of using human research participants. Be sure to include an Informed Consent Form that is appropriate to your sample. Discuss the steps that have gone into designing an ethical proposal. Be specific and provide examples. You will not actually send this proposal to an IRB.
