For this assignment, you have two separate activities.
First, you will perform some research on your topic and complete a Worksheet using those three sources. Second, you will write a synthesis essay. Third, you will submit both to your instructor.

The specific directions are below:
FIRST, complete the items in the Synthesis Worksheet after you find three articles in the library.
SECOND, use those articles to write your essay. Read the booklet titled “How to Write a Synthesis Essay.” Use the Essay Template – be sure you remove the comments and instructions so that your paper is professionally formatted.
THIRD, submit both the worksheet and the essay to your instructor.
Pick one of the following organizations and write a synthesis essay:
• The International Monetary Fund
• The World Bank
• The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade
• The World Trade Organization
Your report must include:
1. Provide a short history of how the organization came into existence, and
2. Describe the main tasks or functions of the organization;
3. Current trends that may impact the organization
The assignment is to create a 3-page synthesis of what the articles say utilizing three selected peer-reviewed journal articles. You should strive to produce a synthesis essay addressing the writing prompt. Your Title page and Reference page do not count in the number of pages, so you will have a minimum of 5 pages including the Title page and Reference page.
